Mammography
A three-yearly examination of the breast for cancer is carried out routinely for women between the age of 50-70 years in this area. You will be notified by post when your appointment is due. Women over 65 years are also eligible for routine three-yearly mammography but they must self-refer. Please ask a receptionist for the relevant form.
Smoking Cessation
Please make an appointment to see a nurse
Adult Immunisations
It is important to be covered for tetanus. If you have never had a tetanus injection, you will need a course of three injections. A total of five injections gives life-long immunity, unless you are travelling or have a tetanus-prone wound. Any woman planning to become pregnant should check that she is immune to German Measles by having a blood test.
